You have got me at such a good time in my life. I love everything about life.

I am on a minimalising journey. I have started at scratch and I am working my way through all the areas of my life. I am not convinced that you can’t keep all the balls in the air. I am so used to that old mentality that when you focus on one thing that something else falls down. I am going to see if I can back off the intensity of some things and try and give everything the attention it deserves. I feel like I am doing really well with it.

I am excited about my fitness and health, I have done lots of work on my diet and I think I have finally found one that works for me, in the gym I am doing a program which I am loving, my kids are just thriving, I am in a relationship that I can see a great future in. I am just getting to the top of the hill with my business. I am thriving and I am loving life.

My three favourite things are definitely my relationships, my puppy and my health and wellbeing.

Being a woman goes with success for me and being empowered. For me it means there is always something to be reaching for. I want to do things that make me feel very successful as a woman. It could be about my diet and getting it to a place where I can thrive and have so much more energy, or it could be in my relationships where I am just constantly feeling love and appreciation. It could be with my children, my partner or it could be with my siblings or with my parents. I just feel like I am reaching to be in that place all the time. I love being open and free and empowered.

My connection with Canberra started about 15 years ago. I have been trading in Sydney since the year 2000 and I constantly had people saying to me you have to come and do our Old Bus Depot Markets. So on a random Sunday I invited a friend and off we went down to Canberra to check out the markets because I had never even been to Canberra before.

We toured the markets, the people were great and it had such a good vibe about it. I could see the locals really using the market. I could see that these markets were a place where a lot of people visited—tourists and the locals—and that inspired me. I love it in Canberra and make sure I come every Sunday because I do not do anything that I don’t feel love for or feel connected to. Canberra was able to do that for me.

My favourite thing in the world is the reaction of people when they discover me. To be standing there and someone walks in and says OMG I love your things. I get that reaction constantly in Canberra. That makes me feel proud to be a woman in Canberra.

The hardest thing about being a woman in Canberra is suffering through the colder weather. I live in Shellharbour on the coast and I travel up to Sydney and so Sydney can be a little extreme but not like Canberra. I find the Summer hot and the Winter cold. I just have to tough it out though, make sure I am appropriately dressed.

Sometimes when I am on the road and around all the gorgeous food downstairs at the markets, it can make it feel harder to maintain health. But there are choices everywhere, we get to decide what we want to go for in life. I love that there is the Kingston Foreshore with lots of places to stop and meet people and have coffee or meals. I think Canberra is a vibrant little place, I think it is underrated and definitely untouched by a lot of people. The people of Canberra pull me up so much.

My perfect day in Canberra would definitely be when I can see a dog tied to every pole, because everyone is out and about, an incredible vibe is created as everyone comes together.
